When
I first started taking Yoga, I couldn’t even touch my toes. I had
been doing strength training and aerobics but I wasn’t very
flexible. Because of Yoga, I can now touch my toes, as well as do
lots of balancing poses. I love Yoga so much but I wanted to take my
journey further so I tried Pilates Reformer and that has made me
even more flexible.

Intro to Yoga
A gentle introduction to the
joys of yoga. Find inner peace by discovering the wisdom of your body
and breath. Appropriate for all fitness levels. No experience necessary.
General
Deeper explorations of asana,
pranyama, and meditation. Strengthen and stretch the body to open
energetic pathways and calm the mind. Inversions will be introduced with
options given for all levels. For beginners to intermediate students
with some experience (five intro classes) and who are in good health.
Weight Loss
Asanas, pranyama and meditation
specifically chosen to address the goal of weight loss. Heart opening
and compassion are the focus as you tone your body. Please bring water
and a towel to practice. For all who wish to build strength and tone the
body. A BodyWatts fitness evaluation is recommended prior to your first
class.
Intermediate
Complex asanas and balance work
as well as pranyama and meditation. Students are expected to have some
experience with inversions and ideally a home practice. Analytical
breakdown of asanas and jumpings deepen your practice as you tame the
wandering mind. Application of the sutra Sthiram sukham asananam (asanas
should be comfortable and steady) through difficult postures. By
invitation to those students with experience.
