DEMETRIA, GOES FROM A SIZE 22 TOA SIZE 16.
SHE SAYS
“I did it for me!”
I
have very proud to say that, I’m very proud to be a member of BodyWatts. I
have found that when I started this time it was very different for me. I made
it a point to come in the morning. This was best for me because I have two
children that needed me before I left in the morning. After coming in the
morning for a while I started to join the classes and made it an everyday
thing. Even though this meant being there a little earlier than usually. This
went over so well with me and my daily routine. The kids understood and began
to encourage me as I continued on.
The first month in my goal was to lose 10lbs and I did just that. This 10 lbs
did not come easy by a long shot. I came in to the gym in the morning, in the
evening before class if I had time and then after my classes were over and I
would go home change my clothes and down the streets of St. Michaels I would
trample. I thank BodyWatts for being there when I needed it the most. The
encouragement that I have received from family, friends and new friends that I
have accumulated since I have been here.
I reached a point where I was not losing any weight (plateau) I did not get
discouraged I worked even harder. So for me this meant that after class was
over I would stay 30 minutes longer at first, then it went to 45 minutes doing
the elliptical and then I graduated to the bike and so on an so forth. I also
walk on Sundays with a group of ladies.. I have finally come down from a 20/22
to a 16 which is quite the difference. I am so glad to be here and to be able
to encourage anyone that I can just to do their best. I DID THIS FOR
ME!!!!!!!! THANK YOU. Thanks to Lee George and Jen Benson and everyone at
Bodywatts I will be doing my first marathon ever in January ’09. I am so proud
of me!
Barb Reinhardt
Barb
first came to BodyWatts 2 years ago with the goal of getting back into her red
dress. She began a personal training program and eventually added Pilates to
completely transform her body.
Barb not only got into that red dress again but
she has gone from a size 16 to a size 6.
She has continued to keep exercise a part of her
daily routine and she continues to reap the benefits.
Do You Want to Lose Weight?
My name is Jean Scott
and I
started at BodyWatts in May. I was heavy, tired and feeling uncomfortable. I
saw an ad saying “Do you want to lose weight?” My answer was YES I DO!
As of 8/14/07, I have lost 16 lbs. and a total of
16+ inches. The staff is wonderful and I enjoy coming here.
Trainer, Bonnie Brown says, “It’s been a pleasure to watch Jean take control
of her health and consequently her life. She shows up regularly and works hard
while she’s here. She’s a perfect example of how to change your body through
commitment. - Way to go,
Jean!
Kitty says…
“Weight
management has been a challenge for me my whole life. There is so much
commercialism that impacted what I did, what I cooked or what I tried to do to
get fit. I have read so many articles and books you would think I would know
what was best but I didn’t always make the right choice. BodyWatts has helped
me to stay on track and dispel the myths that often threw me off track. All of
the trainers at Bodywatts give positive feedback and can answer or find the
answer to almost any issue that you need. I had read on multiple occasions
that having a coach can make a difference especially when you go through those
plateaus. It truly has and I can’t thank these professionals enough.”
Ashley increases her speed and agility at BodyWatts.
Prior
to going to BodyWatts, I would wake up at 6am on Saturday mornings and drive
to Herndon, Virginia, an hour and a half away, in order to attend a speed and
agility training session for softball.
Being a high school student, the last thing I wanted to do was get up early on
one of my two mornings to sleep in, but it was the only option, considering it
was the closest place to receive speed and agility training. Then I discovered
Jen Benson at BodyWatts. Jen was able to provide me with not only speed
training, but also strength conditioning. The training I received at BodyWatts
was as good as what I received in Virginia, except over an hour closer.
TIME
FOR ME NOW!
After retiring last year,
I decided that my new job would be getting myself back in shape. Knowing that
diet is only one part of the picture, I joined BodyWatts in November 2006.
A gym with just ladies was much less intimidating for someone like me who is
neither athletic nor particularly coordinated. To my amazement I have found
exercises that I love: weights, crunches, and Pilates. I’m very pleased with
the results, too. I have better posture, slimmer waist, arms, and legs,
increased height, and an inner sense of well being. My younger self is
starting to reappear, and that’s exciting…
BodyWatts is not just a gym to improve one’s physique. It’s a meeting
place for ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes. We share each other’s
successes and setbacks. Many of us have established new friendships. A
friendly, welcoming place, BodyWatts is part of my daily routine.
Thank you Lorri, Bonnie, Jen, and Laura for getting me back on track. Your
expertise, guidance, friendliness, and genuine concern make coming to
BodyWatts a wonderful experience for all of us.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GIRLS!
Bevlee Kegan 48 years old
I’m
48 years young and have worked out almost all of my life, belonged to several
gyms and done all kinds of workouts. Then I joined BodyWatts, and until
recently didn’t really understand just how important working out in this kind
of atmosphere is. I knew I needed to work out to stay healthy, keep my weight
down, etc. but never realized how important it was for me emotionally,
socially and psychologically. When my mother passed away almost a year ago, I
started to isolate, stopped going to the gym and got depressed. It showed on
the inside as well as the outside, until one day I realized I had to get back
into the game of life. The staff at BodyWatts are wonderful caring people
that will work with you and help you to achieve your goals, whether it’s
losing weight, strength training, or in my case, getting back into life. So I
started personal training with Jen and not only have I gotten back into life,
but I have gotten back my stamina, strength and endurance and have never felt
better. I highly recommend BodyWatts to all women, regardless of your age,
size or situation.
Bonnie Brown - 44 years old
50
lbs heavier than today and miserable! I couldn’t make it up a flight of steps
without effort, I couldn’t play with my child, and I felt terrible about
myself. I decided I’d had enough and started on a regimen of reduced calories
and increased exercise. Less eating in restaurants and more cooking at home. I
started to feel better as soon as the weight started to come off. I was on a
roll. I have managed to keep the weight off for 12 years through continued
diet and exercise. After coming to work at BodyWatts, I committed to a
program that would tone the body parts that were still saggy as a result of
weight loss. I have toned and strengthened my body in the 6 months that I have
worked here. I feel better than I have in a lot of years. Today I am a mother
and a grandmother that dares my child and grandchild to keep up with me. I
believe that if it happened for me it can happen for anyone. The atmosphere at
BodyWatts makes it easy.
Helen McQuay
I’ve been a member of BodyWatts
for 2 months and thoroughly enjoy the workouts and the atmosphere. I started
dieting and workout an average of 3 hours a week. Everyone at BodyWatts is
friendly, helpful and encouraging. The best bonus is that my blood pressure
has dropped 10 points and I’ve lost 8 lbs. in this short time period. I am
looking forward to more weight loss, more energy and better health.
Joan L.
BodyWatts has become
a daily habit. Without exercise I just don’t feel that my day is complete. I
have lost weight, toned muscle, lowered my cholesterol and found friends.
Thanks BodyWatts team!
Carol Reed
I joined BodyWatts to relieve stress, but the benefits were beyond my
expectations. I have never stayed with an exercise program very long. I’ve
been with BodyWatts since it opened. The staff keeps me meeting new goals
and the personal trainer Jen recognized my apprehensions about exercise. She
has built my confidence that keeps me coming back.
Gretchen of CBS's Amazing Race
Gretchen, of the Amazing
Race, works out 4 to 5 mornings a week with her "girlfriends" at
BodyWatts. She said that her workouts helped her to compete and to keep up with the
younger contestants in the Amazing Race. Her partner and husband Meredith said
that "Gretchen would not have been able to climb out of the cave or climb the
ladder at the tower if she had not been working out at BodyWatts.
