April 2007, As national fitness
trends point toward the popularity of well-balanced exercise
programs with a focus on personal training and Pilates,
owner, Lorri Wilson-Clarke announces that her fitness studio
previously known as Slim and Tone has changed it’s name to
BodyWatts.
“Our goal is to maximize each member’s time and results,”
said Wilson-Clarke. “By providing the services of personal
trainers, and the addition of our Pilates studio, cardio
training area and universal gym equipment we customize
exercise programs to meet individual needs. This set us
apart from the other Slim and Tone franchises. It became
apparent that our studio was setting the stage for the new
model of women’s fitness and we made the decision to
terminate the Slim and Tone franchise agreement. Our
intentions are to franchise the BodyWatts fitness system in
the near future after the launch of our BodyWatts fitness
products.”
The X-er Tube and X-er Loop are two fitness products which
are in the final stages of manufacturing and will be
marketed as THE REFORMER FREE PILATES SYSTEM under the
BodyWatts brand name. These exercise devices and several
others with patents pending were developed by Wilson-Clarke
and her husband, Raymond Clarke. “With the launch of our new
BodyWatts fitness products it seemed that the timing was
right to announce the name change of the fitness studio to
BodyWatts” says Wilson-Clarke.
Wilson-Clarke is a classically trained Pilates Teacher,
certified personal trainer and cancer exercise specialist.
Raymond Clarke is a professional engineer and an avid
